Jamia Suffah’s Deen Essentials: Arabic Edition is a focused summer program designed to help students strengthen their connection with Islam, build confidence in their Muslim identity, and develop a foundational relationship with the Arabic language.
Through a balanced curriculum of Islamic essentials, Qur’an connection, Arabic foundations, adab, and practical guidance, students are given the tools to live as confident and practicing Muslims.

Program Overview
Deen Essentials: Arabic Edition combines foundational Islamic studies with Arabic learning to give students a meaningful and practical summer experience. The program is designed for students who want to grow in their understanding of Islam while also becoming more familiar with the language of the Qur’an.
Students are guided through important topics in faith, worship, character, Qur’an, and Arabic in a structured and nurturing environment.
What Students Study
The program focuses on practical Islamic knowledge, Qur’anic connection, Arabic foundations, and character development.
Deen Essentials
Students learn essential Islamic knowledge related to belief, worship, daily practice, Islamic manners, and living as a Muslim.
Arabic Foundations
Students are introduced to Arabic reading, vocabulary, sentence structure, and basic concepts that help them connect with Qur’anic Arabic.
Qur’an Connection
Students strengthen their connection with the Qur’an through understanding, reflection, selected meanings, and love for the Book of Allah.
Fiqh & Worship
Students learn practical guidance related to purification, ṣalāh, daily worship, and essential responsibilities.
Seerah & Muslim Identity
Students learn lessons from the life of the Prophet ﷺ that help build love, confidence, and a strong Muslim identity.
Adab & Akhlaaq
The program emphasizes respect, discipline, responsibility, kindness, and beautiful Islamic character.
A Focused Summer Learning Experience
The program is designed to make summer learning beneficial, structured, and spiritually uplifting. Students are encouraged to ask questions, participate actively, and develop habits that benefit them beyond the classroom.
