Weekend Islamic Learning for Children, Teens, and Adult Women

Jamia Suffah offers Saturday classes throughout the academic year for boys, girls, teens, and adult women. These classes are designed to provide meaningful Islamic education in a structured weekend setting.

Our goal is to help students strengthen their connection with Allah, understand the essentials of Islam, develop good character, and grow with confidence in their Muslim identity.

Program Overview

The Saturday Maktab is designed for families who want their children and themselves to continue Islamic learning in a weekend format. The program focuses on subjects that directly impact a Muslim’s daily life, including Arabic, Islamic beliefs, history, adab, and practical guidance.

Students are taught in a caring Islamic environment that encourages love for Allah, love for the Prophet ﷺ, good manners, and a strong Muslim identity.

Children & Teens Program

Jamia Suffah offers Saturday classes for boys and girls from Pre-K through 8th grade. Students study a balanced curriculum that includes Arabic, Islamic history, ʿAqīdah, and Islamic etiquettes.

Adult Women’s Program

Jamia Suffah also offers Saturday classes for adult women throughout the year. These classes focus on Islamic learning, character development, Arabic foundations, and practical guidance for daily life.

What Students Study

Students are introduced to essential subjects that build Islamic knowledge, character, and identity.

Arabic Essentials

A foundational Arabic class focusing on reading, writing, basic vocabulary, and essential grammar concepts in a clear and age-appropriate way.

Islamic History

Students explore Islamic history from the Prophets عليهم السلام to the Khulafā’ and beyond, learning key events, important figures, and timeless lessons.

ʿAqīdah

Students study the core beliefs of Islam, including belief in Allah, the Prophets, angels, revealed books, the Day of Judgment, and divine decree.

Etiquettes & Adab

Students learn Islamic manners related to daily life, worship, family, teachers, classmates, the masjid, and personal conduct.
